Fulgencio Saura Calixto

Has worked since 1975 in Spanish Universities (Oviedo, Baleares, Murcia, Alcalá de Henares) and foreign (Cambridge, ETH Zurich, Edinburgh). Since 1987, has worked as Professor of CSIC Research in Science Institute and Food Technology and Nutrition (ICTAN) of Madrid.
His research is focused on constituents of foods and diets for the prevention of chronic diseases, especially cardiovascular and colon cancer. Author of more than 160 items with high number of references (> 6,600 references), 50 popular articles, 25 book chapters and 3 books on foreign publishers and patents in exploitation. Since 1985 has been involved as principal investigator and coordinator in national projects, the European Union and Latin American Cooperation. Member of management committees and delegate of Spain in several European research programs (FLAIR, AIR, COST).
